By far the #1 request I would have for responsive site designer is to be able to publish from within the program to any host.
This would make the program way more attractive to me. Yes, I own every competitor to Coffee Cup (there are some incredible feature that can't be beat with RSD) but I often find myself using the other software because it is quicker to work with. Note: I have been a loyal purchaser of coffee cup software and truly note that often web design software innovations have come from coffee cup first.
It is not rocket science to publish to a folder and then ftp, but it is not the quickest way to work especially when you want to see how things actually work on the web and not just in a preview.
Yes...I know that there likely has been a layer of income from coffee cup providing its own hosting and encouraging it by design but some of us want the freedom of cpanel etc or using S3 etc..
I would also like to know the effect of people preferring the software bc of newfound ability to publish directly to the web.
I know that Coffee cup has the knowledge to quickly add the functionality given that 1. they literally wrote their own ftp software 2. They wrote the innovative places software and bc publishing is already build in to RSD (just limited to Coffee cups own hosting service)
Just sharing my suggestion and hope for the future of coffee cup.

I want to be able to open more than just 1 RSD/RBB/RFF document at a time. This is sooooooo 1980.

If I click on the file I want to open while RSD is open already, the file opens in another instance of RSD. I've had up to three such instances running at the same time.

The ability to edit an element select dropdown options within RSD not after export.

I wonder whether the project mentioned by Bob Visser here will partly help with this.

As I said ... it' like the 80's all over. On a Mac however there's no such thing as an instance. So it's closing one document/project in order to open another.

And when I close a project, and via Menu > File > New ... start another, nothing happens. Until I switch to another app (or Finder) and then back to RSD; then the requested new project appears (this behaviour obviously is a bug).

Coffee Cup documentation is useful but the content is not that accessible when one is trying to use the products. I think CC would profit from a good quality help system. Last century I came up with an architecture for help which was highly productive for the developers and the users. Sadly, I am not aware of another example. I keep telling myself I need to write a book but haven't so far. The underlying tools would be new but the philosophy is the same; tool creators taking responsibility users success. You may think that is usual but I can assure you it is seldom accomplished.

It would be nice if the app itself would behave more 'solid' and/or 'balanced'. Every single popup makes the sidebar scroll, pulldowns open and close when you've not even selected anything ... commands like Cmd+A in do work when selecting all text in file editing mode, but doesn't in a 'save as' in order to select the whole file name? Cmd+arrow does work there, but again doesn't work while working with text in editing mode. All this just seems to be nearly finished, but not quite yet. And it has been for quite a while. It would be nice if an update/upgrade will take care of all this 'not quite finished' pet peeves first. There's so much that has to be fixed or improved just from a users point of view. This goes for all CC software, it's almost like the fundament these apps are build on just doesn't cover all bases.
