Use the attributes. You can choose custom and add it that way.

Click the element tab to find where you add attributes. Then scroll down to where it says Microdata and select the type you want.

Thanks Inger but I'm still not dialing in on it - I selected the paragraph I wanted to add the structured Data - Typed in custom - Data Custom 1 comes up - Name feild - data-custom-1. Do I put the structured data in the Value?

I find the easiest way to find the Microdata list (mentioned by Inger) in the Attributes drop-down is as follows -
(a) I click on the 'Click to Add Attibutes' drop-down.
(b) I type (without the inverted commas) 'item' in the blank line, and the list appears.

Coming back around to this -
I use Google's tool to generate the structured data. It says to place under the </head> tag - I do this with HTML Editor and its not a bad work around but would like to place it in RSD. I have tried to follow the instructions above but am obviously missing something here.
Any tutorials on this or step by steps etc?
