Are there any other South African designers using the CoffeeCup apps? I think it would be useful to be able to tell SA customers that there is "local" backup if necessary (if a designer leaves the country, retires, dies, whatever).

As you know the website design world is the whole world and as for re reassuring customers there is local backup i don't think that matters .what does matter is that your customers are looked after and that there is help for any designer that has the good fortune to use Coffee Cup Software. That said if you have a shop where you get to customers to call in and visit you then that would be a different matter .

I usually give the customers the access data to their website when I have finished it. I also upload the source files as a project, so that any new web designer they might want to employ, can find it.

And yes, the whole world is not too big when it comes to helping people getting a website up. I have clients in the US, in Germany, Britain and Turkey plus Norway, and this forum is also a living proof that web design knows no borders.

I am in a different (smaller) league than all of you, with a much smaller client base. Some clients are not that IT literate and have embarked on a website for their business only because of personal interaction (and then been impressed by the results!). The truly global world of the Internet is not familiar to them.
