My SD seems to be putting the google test code in the pg structure data wrong, it does not verify and it shows at the top of the pg after uploading and checking it for verify. verification fails. a new property for the sobercert.com domain I'm a couple of builds back on the SD releases I guess that they have changed the way the google code is inserted or placed?

In Actions > Preferences the third from last tick box controls whether or not the Sitemap and Robots files are generated during Publish/Export.

Thank you Frank, I tried what you said and it still did not work but I believe that your suggestion was part of the solution. I tried several methods that google provides and the one that worked for me was the html tag method it then verified and did not show on the home pg.

You may already know, but if not: you need to fill in the URL to your domain in Action > Settings too...

There is also a way to 'rub it in' to Google: https://www.semrush.com/blog/submit-sitemap-to-google/
