I am trying to set up a new website for my organization and have read and viewed Site Designer videos and manuals. I am new using Site Designer and am slowly picking up how to accomplish it but it is painfully slow. I added a Free Component Slide Show to the home page that has 4 photos and would like to add 4 more photos to the slide show. However, when I do the the slide show stops on the 5th photo and doesn't show the next 3. In fact it freezes on the 5th photo. I must be missing a setting to tell the slide show to view 8 photos instead of 4.

I am using the latest version of Site Designer (Mac) Frameworkless Desktop Down with the Coffeecup Template Company One.

Here's the information from the Slide Show page

Slide Show

This slideshow behaves a bit 'jumpy' during the first cycle, but after that it runs much smoother. Make sure not to change the class names .mySlides and .dot as they are being used by the java script. If you want to have the images changing faster or more slowly, you can set a different time in the last line of the JavaScript. It is at 4000 now, meaning every 4 seconds.

More or less slides can be accommodated by duplicating or deleting some of the '.mySlides' containers.

Hi Bill,
How did you add the other slides? As far as jerkyness, I wonder how big your images are?
If you have published your site, sharing a link would be helpful
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hmm
There are slideshows that can be made with just CSS no Javascript,, very smooth & very easy to style. In the case of "Frameworkless, it of course has to be custom CSS

Hi Bill, I'm the guilty one here, who has produced that slideshow.
If you look into the element tree, you see four containers with the class names .mySlides.fade. Copy those as many times as needed, then change the images and the contents of the two wee text files.
Then at the bottom, you find another container, .dot-holder. Open it and click on the wee green blob beside the HTML element. In there, you find a dot for each image. Add that line, <span class="dot"></span> so that you have the same number of dots as you have images.
Ha en riktig god dag!

I haven't re-built my site with web designer yet. but my question is about slide shows. I just had to remove the 3 slide shows I had because, since shockwave flash is gone they no longer work. Is there any way to implement slide shows under the old system? If not I will just have to get started on my site redesign.

Sliders in 'Site Designer are a doddle, (especially using the 'foundation' framework), in fact one can easily be made just using standard elements.
