Site Designer 4.0 - Post ID 289411
I have not upgraded to this yet as I have enjoyed Responsive Site Designer. Is it significantly better? What is the best learning path for a self taught (with significant holes in my education) person? Would like to look at tutorials/articles etc. for vers 4. I guess the best reason to upgrade is that RSD will eventually go away!
Thanks

SD4 is way better and can open any RSD file. The only thing you need to watch for is if you are trying to open a file created with the coffeegrinder framework. This framework is no longer supported so you will need to open in another style of your liking and possible tweak it a bit to fix. Biggest thing you will notice is you have no more rows and columns, its now all containers.
Everything you learned in RSD is directly applicable to SD4. They made the UI better and most noticeably they made the element tree alot better. You will also see breadcrumbs of the element you are working on the bottom of the canvas.
Its well worth the upgrade if you ask me.

Thanks guys - whats the best learning path for the program?
I am embarrassed to admit but I bought 3.5 but never used it! So was thinking if I upgrade might as well only learn one and go for the vers 4.
Thanks

Whether you go from RSD directly to SD4.0 or take the course via 3.5, that makes no difference. I would say bypassing 3.5 and going directly to 4.0 is best.
