RSD Version2.2, Build 2190...
Hi Guys
I updated to the new version yesterday (Ver 2.2, Build 2190) and have since notice a huge downgrade in the responsiveness of RSD.
I'm running a high end i7 Windows 64-bit computer with 32GB RAM and two solid state drives. The unresponsiveness is very noticeable when dragging or changing the breakpoint view.
When looking at the Windows task manager I notice that an application "QtWebEngineProcess.exe" is responsible for high CPU usage when doing various tasks in RSD.
Any suggestions as this unresponsiveness are causing various other issues when editing larger websites and websites with Components & Symbols

You should actually see quite the opposite.
Have you tried rebooting your computer?

Hi Scott
Thank you for the prompt response, the computer has been rebooted a few times since the upgrade. I even tried disabling various background tasks to see if any of them could cause a problem but that made no difference.
The high CPU utilization does not happen all the time but when it happens it's always the "QtWebEngineProcess.exe" application, at this stage I'm trying to establish if there is a pattern.
At times when I activate text editing (Ctrl+T) I noticed that RSD sometimes go out of text edit mode halfway through an edit, also when I delete an element like a paragraph it deletes the previous one as well. I checked both my mouse and keyboard but I do not think it is hardware related (stuck key or double click) as it only happens in RSD. To avoid the delete issue I now only delete an element by doing a right click and select "Delete".
It's almost as if RSD is performing some background task during editing causing the high CPU utilization & odd behaviour.
Hope this helps?

One thing I see is you have not downloaded the latest version. Please upgrade first and see if that improves things. If you still have issues, please open a support ticket and send us your project file.
Also, do you ever notice that when issues like this start to happen, did the AutoSave process just kick in? You would see a popup in the lower left corner of the app. I think we have been able to replicate what you described here. If you are in text edit mode and you don't perform any action in 30 seconds, the AutoSave kicks in. This takes you out of the edit mode. We are going to implement a fix to prevent that.

Just uploaded build 2208 which should address the autosave issue that you reported here.
