I am considering the purchase of the responsive design pack. I will have a requirement to create a online appointment schedule. My business is small, so I will not have a heavy load for the scheduler, so I might just use a wordpress plugin, or something offsite.
If I choose just the RSD, can the design elements/layout created in RSD be exported to Wordpress? I understand that RLM can be converted to a Wordpress page (and there is a tutorial/guide on this website) Or can the RSD elements be exported to RLM to then be exported/recreated for Wordpress? The Responsive Design Pack includes RLM and RSD, but I do not know if they integrate with each other at all.
RSD to RLM to Wordpress? or RSD to...
Hi Bill,
I do not know the answers to all your questions but I will give it my best shot.
Ok so this software works like this. RLM would be the starting point. This software allows you very quickly create responsive layouts. Basically its a very stripped down version of RSD. I am a web designer and use this all the time. When i get new clients I start with RLM to through together a quick layout for them to approve. Once they have approved the general layout of the website I move to RSD to make it into a complete website with images, menus, sliders, thumb galleries and anything else they may want to add.
As for your questions in relation to Word Press this is where I'm not so much of an expert on. I do know that it is possible to create a RLM layout and export it and import it to WP. This is not an easy task! You will have to be very familiar with WP.
You have probably already seen this but I will share anyway:

If you are committed to WP I would stay within that platform as its biggest benefit is you dont have to know a lot of technical stuff to get it to work. If you are very comfortable with WP and its advanced features you can leverage RLM to create a layout.
Couple questions you have to ask yourself. Am I creating just one website for myself? Am I creating multiple websites for various clients? If you answer is the myself then I would suggest jumping straight to RSD this will do it all for you. The draw back is the ability to use an online appointment system. You will have to find some third party application that allows you to embed this system into RSD.
If your answer is various clients, I would suggest getting RLM and RSD.
I hope I have clarified some of your questions. Maybe some others will chime in here to help you out. Personally I hate WP for various reasons therefor I do not know a lot about it.

Thanks for the reply, you smacked me into reality in a sort of way, and so I do not keep on creating new topics, is there a WORLFLOW document for the responsive design stuff with Coffeecup software? For some reason, and perhaps because I do not have the software, I wasn't thinking to start with RLM and then go to RSD. I was thinking RLM was for someone would not want or need or get to RSD. So - is there a Workflow article or document - however simple it might be (that includes general design issues, because the last I used css was with 2.1)? I find Workflow documents extremely handy, and if one does not exist, CC should make one. For instance, for photo editing, I have a Workflow document printed and laminated, so I go through each process the correct way - for example - correct distortions, noise, color temp before actual editing.
When you go from RLM to RSD - are you starting from scratch in RSD, or can RSD open a RLM document?
If I were to use CC and a Wordpress plug-in for scheduling, I would start with just a Wordpress template, but eventually would want to theme that page to the rest of my site. I t might not even be Wordpress, I am just using Wordpress as an example of a CMS. The only complicated thing on the site would be a scheduling "app," so I am OK with just one page, because it would be loaded with code anyway (unless I link to an online provider)
