Hello,

I'm discovering RSD and I would like to know if it's possible to insert spreadsheets (or tables) into webpages, I don't see any specific tool on the elements panel ! So if someone can help me :D.

Thank you by advance !

Hi Spriter,

There is no built in tool to handle this but you can always just add an HTML element and hand code it in like you would normally do.

I found a good tutorial here:

Hope that helps

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your answer, ok that's what I was thinking... I need to insert prices tables... it's very simple. But if I need to open each exported page to code it manually :/, it's not handy... I have no other choice if I want to use RSD.

A table element could be an idea for a next release of RSD ? :D

I do know there is a table element in RLMP that you could use. What I would do is create your layout in RLM using your tables then save and open in RSD. Not sure why they removed the table element I thought it was quite handy for some things.

Thank you Steve, but I don't own RLM :/... not ready to buy it just to insert a table on webpages ! Too bad but I think I must do this manually if I want to use RSD any more.

I made a short note about tables in responsive design here: http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/respons … le-design/

The project file sharing offer still stands, just let me know!

:)
The future of web layout has arrived and it's called CSS Grid. CoffeeCup helps you to get ready with a free guide, the Grid Builder app plus cool demos & themes.

Do a Google search, there are quite a few scripts out there for responsive tables. When used wisely they work very nice, just keep them simple and not extremely wide complicated ones and you'll be fine to use them, I've used them on a handful of sites without any issues at all.

If your pricing table is extremely wide and complicated I would try to find a better way to display it, or maybe offer it in a PDF file that people can open and/or download, that way you can still use the table setup without compromising your site setup.

Good luck with it, but check out some of the scripts out there if you're really in need of a table.

Hey Bob,

I am interested in that file. Can you post it in this thread? It is RSD, not RED, correct?

Thanks,

MJ

Thanks Bob and Jo, ok I can find another option like you said and that's what I will do. But a table element in RSD would be fine :D !

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
