Responsive Site Designer only opens...

I am running a freshly "reset" Windows 10 32 bit PC. I've been reinstalling programs that were removed during the reset, including my CoffeeCup programs. Most installed and open/minimize/resize and close normally. But, Responsive Site Designer 1.5 (both 2016 releases) only opens at full screen, minus the Title bar and the normal top-right buttons to minimize, resize, or close the program. Plus, I have trouble closing the program because I don't see the hidden dialog box asking if I want to save the (default/sample) opening project (which I have not edited in any manner).

My monitor is a brand new Acer 23.8" LED, with 1920x1080 resolution.

Any suggestions for getting the size of the program interface back under control would be appreciated. Might it be monitor related?

Update: I finally got an older version to run correctly: version 1.2 build 958, from August, 2015. It launched large, but has the control buttons and is resizable and movable, unlike the later versions.

PS: I operate as a Windows Standard User, but grant admin credentials to install programs that write to the C:\Program Files\ directory.

Hi Wizcrafts,

I would check your resolution in the control panel. Set it to the default resolution of your monitor. (1920x1080)

Steve;
Thanks for the suggestion. I checked and the monitor was already detected correctly and set to 1920 x 1080. It must be a conspiracy of mangled bits. I will just stick with the older version of Site Designer for now..

Just a thought: it seems to me possible that the program is not opening 'maximised', but just at too large a size for corners of the window to be grabbed or the size control buttons to be seen.

If the above is the case, it may well help to use keyboard controls (Note) to move the window to bring a corner into view so that the mouse can be used to adjust the size by hovering over an edge or corner until the double-headed arrow is in view. One can then left click and hold to grab that edge or corner and resize the window correctly.

Once the above has been done, perhaps the window will behave in future.

Frank

Note
Alt+Space, followed by the keyboard arrow keys.

That was the solution for me. Alt+Space and arrow keys allowed me to claw back the size to fit inside my monitor. After closing and reopening, the program opens normally now. Thanks Frank.

PS: I did this after upgrading to the newest version (1.5.1419).
