Given the clarification of the problem, that does seem the best solution, but
(a) one is not restricted to moving it by sliding it: I use the right arrow on my keyboard and find I can move it to ridiculously high numbers of pixels - well beyond my own screen width;
(b) If one moves it beyond the likely screen width of any user, I'm not sure there is any significant difference between that result and the situation had the rightmost break point not been overlooked in the first place.
