Question about font-icons

Hi,
It's been a while since I've been in the forums. The wife and I were unexpectedly exposed to someone with Covid and of course we have been very sick. We are on the mend after three long weeks.

So, is there a way to export a font-icon so I can edit and re-import it into site designer.

One of my clients is still living in the stone age even though they have had a smart phone for years.

Thanks for any pointers,
Ernie

Hi Ernie, I'm glad you're on the mend! :)
I don't quite understand the need to export and reimport the font icons? They are there already. I don't know of any way to to what you want. If a font icon doesn't have to be a 'font-icon' after the reimport, how about adding one to the canvas, make it quite large and copy it as if it were an image? Then you could edit it as needed, but it would continue to be an image from then on.
Ha en riktig god dag!

What I'm trying to do is edit the menu 3 icon to have the word menu to the right side of the icon. That way it would all be on one line and not look as bad as does stacked up.

All I could do was add the text beneath the icon and I don't think it looks very good.

I can get the image online and edit that but does the file have to be saved to a special format to be used as the ones in site designer?
I guess what I'm asking is can I create a font-icon and save it into site designer with the other glyphs?

Set the container holding the word and the font icon to
display = flex
direction = row (or reversed row)
align = flex start

items = center

justify = (Open the dropdown and choose whichever one suits you best)

There seem to be a few related questions here.

(a) Can one make or edit a font icon?
The following show ways of doing this: https://mediatemple.net/blog/design-cre … -tutorial/
https://www.webfx.com/blog/web-design/i … enerators/ .

(b) Can one put them into the SD list of icons?
I guess not, but the first link above shows how to use the font icon one has generated.

(c) Does one need to do (a) or (b) for positioning with a menu?
I think not. A Picture or Picture Link element made as shown by Inger is likely to be sufficient, and the positioning can be done as shown by the one named in the YouTube link he provided.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. This is the one that worked the best for what I wanted to do.

align = flex start

items = center

justify = (Open the dropdown and choose whichever one suits you best)
