Here is the Tabbed Gallery project with the added option to set the individual #closebtn and #imgtext colors using data-attibutes on the responsive-picture thumb(s).

Bootstrap 5 CSS Grid.

Great idea! I'f I'm not mistaken, you have just added some lines to the script, and that makes it possible to set individual colours as attributes. I just tried with a hex value, and that also worked. I'll add this feature to the project. Thanks!

BTW, I did ask Bob about the picture tag and the misplacing of the IDs on images. They have it on the list, he said...

It's great to have some forum friends with js - and php - knowledge. I seem to get into these same problems every time I try starting a new project these days. There is always something with too much wrapping around images so that js can't find them :( I got a bunch of 'half baked' projects lying here...

I used a font icon as the close button. I could have used a html element for that wee bit of code, then It would have been easier to colour style it. Oh well...

Yes, the colour-invert would be something I'd be interested in :)

Just as a matter of interest, the exclusion blend mode with a grey glyph icon creates an automatic contrast with whatever background it's against. The attached rsd file shows what I mean. All the glyphs down the left side are identical.

Unfortunately neither Internet Explorer 11 or Edge support the blend mode.

PS I found that putting pictures as backgrounds to containers, and then working with the containers can sometimes simplify picture attributes, which one can then just apply to the container. Even better, one can toggle or otherwise change the background picture because it is styling of the container. FC

Interesting, Frank! I don't know too much about those blend modes, so I've got something to learn there. Great pic BTW! Where is it from?

Also thanks for the tip about images as bg of containers.

I got the picture from that brilliant site, Unsplash (https://unsplash.com/), long ago. It is now there but under a different name here.
