Problems with break points

Not sure if this has been addressed before but I'm having problems with breakpoints being hidden behind the tools pane on the right of the layout. As of now, I can't seem to hide the pane to view and adjust the breakpoints hidden behind it, my only option is to restart the layout, perhaps I'm missing something. As a long time designer it's extremely frustrating dealing with the constraints of RSD, although I understand the restrictions necessary for responsive design. It would help to have some flexibility in the layout process and readily available buttons for layout configuration.

So, is there a way to hide the right pane? It seems permanently pinned.

Hi George,
Make sure you have RSD maximized.
Other then that you could try deleting them by
Add a new break point in view just to the left of the design panel.
Hit the Minus symbol twice which will first delete the break point you just added and then it will automatically select the next break point to the right and delete that. Hit the minus symbol again if there's more then one hidden break point.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

It's worth remembering that at the very far left near the top of the screen are magnifying glass symbols, one for zooming out and one for zooming in. Clicking on the percentage figure between those symbols restores the 100% zoom.

Using the zoom-in facility should allow all the breakpoints to be seen.

Thanks Frank I forgot about that feature.

Sorry. I should have referred to the zoom-out facility.

Thanks, I got it.

I came from Visual site designer so this takes a little getting used to for me. So, another question since were here. I'm also a little confused as to the publish feature. When I click publish, I am asked to log in to my "Coffee Cup" account, why? There is no server settings window as there was in Visual Site Designer.

Thanks,

George

Currently, we only allow direct publishing to S-Drive. However, you can export your website using any FTP program; such as Places or Direct FTP. To do this, click the Export button on the toolbar and export the project to your desired location. Now, use any FTP program to upload your website to your server and you should be good to go!

If you find this process difficult, you will find using the one-click publishing feature in the program very easy! Simply setup a Sdrive account, and in RSD go to Settings > Publish, enter your CoffeeCup username and password, choose the address you wish to publish to and click publish! Yes, it is that easy. :P

Sorry for all the questions, I am a designer and I came from a total WYSIWYG environment. One thing I am struggling with in Using RSD is the hard constraints in simple layout functions. For instance, creating a simple table to insert pictures in, perfectly centered and all cells equally spaced and padded. It seems that each element requires a whole bunch of adjustments and doesn't quite line up or behave in a cooperative way with the rest of the layout. It would be great to have one of the elements be a multi-cell table with each cell being a container forming a template for gallery or image placement and description. This would be a huge help.

So, one more simple question: How do you create a link using a whole container or column? I have a series of columns with pictures as backgrounds in them and want to link the whole column. Is it possible?

Thanks
