WAIT, before you finish: DON'T SET any max breakpoint!!! When working with RSD v1.5, you have to start working to the right of ALL breakpoints. If you now set another breakpoint at 1920px, what about those of your visitors that have still larger monitors? What will they see??

I can see that you have fixed some of the settings on your site. But on the 'other' page, if I go beyond 1920px width, I'm back to seeing just the three boxes. I'd say remove that last breakpoint you set! And edit to the right of all breakpoints!

Whats the difference between the Site designer and the Responsive site designer?

Is there a way to close the right hand menu? to see the right most breakpoints I have to zoom out because the right menu covers the slider. Would be nice if I could move that window around.

The difference between the 2 is site designer has a lot more things available for you to do, however it works mobile first for most of the different frameworks, and if you are using foundation framer it would need a new build for your project,
You cannot for the moment move that right side menu in site designer so no advantage there . Foundation framer is no longer supported by CoffeeCup and will never get updated so you will not be able to move that right menu panel even if site designer ever gets that option

Phoenix's site was made with RSD 1.5 and in the Coffeegrinder framework.

If you want to upgrade to Site Designer newest version, you can try to open your old project file in the new app. You will then get a message saying that Coffeegrinder is no longer supported, and you will have the option to convert it to one of the other frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation or Materialize. Obviously not 'Frameworkless' since it is not actually a framework).
After converting you will have to start working from small to large, 'mobile-up', and that means starting left of all breakpoints.

But before you do any of this, I would recommend that you remove the breakpoints you have above say 1000 - 1200px. They are not needed. You cannot set an upper limit to the layout, because there will always be some development in monitor manufacturing, and screens will get larger.

So the new Site designer takes place of the older version of site designer as well as the RSD? (I have both). I don't see the need for both so if I upgrade I'm just upgrading one or the other. I don't see an updated version of RSD so I am assuming SD replaces them.

If I upgrade, for a complete novice, which framework should I use?

If you are a Mac user, you can keep as many of them as you like, but maybe you ought to keep the old RSD, if any, just in case something goes haywire.
If you are on Windows, I'd be surprised that you have them both installed. Anyways, the same advice applies.

As to which framework, it would have to be one of the three I mentioned in my previous post. I think Foundation has the largest congregation here, so if you think you will need help, go for that.
