post-crash restoration - Post ID 274325
I hope I can make this clear. Here goes.
Computer crashed. Backed up to cloud but the one that ties everything together that you click on to open the project in RSD is not there. At least not where I can see it. What file type is it? What is it called? How can I use the files in the CSS, JS, etc folders if I can't access the project? Am I making sense?

Windows shows the project file type as 'RSD File', and, when Windows Explorer is set to show file name extensions, the project file suffix is '.rsd'. The project file is unlikely to be in the folder shown by ccsample.JPG, as that is the folder that was created when the project file's website was exported to the hard drive.
I would be inclined to use the Windows Search facility on the drive where the file is likely to be, using (without the inverted commas) '.rsd' as the search clue.

PS. I think it's impossible to recreate the project file from the CSS files etc..

I was having problems with the latest update of the app the 2222 one kept crashing computer and was not able to recover my project so went back to the previous build then it worked fine and recovered the latest project fine. Was a display driver conflict problem and I think they are still working on that. Think it involves people with multi monitor fancy rigs. This only applies if you just got the crashing problem with the immediate load of the latest update to RSD.

It was a complete crash & burn. Deceased. Won't boot. Gone. I think I'm screwed.
Thanks for trying

I was looking through the help section and instructions for anything to do with project recovery and I think that is what you need. When my newest or latest 2.2 2220 was crashing and not finalizing and trying to recover the project in the middle of it all and happened several times. The way that I was able to get the RSD to load and run and recover my latest project successfully was by going back to the previous build and load it which smoothly loaded and smoothly recovered my latest project. All of which I was very apprehensive of due to the crashing problems. Guess that this experience is relevant to those people who cannot get the latest build to initially or ever load and work. This experience is probably not relevant to people who's system crashing is not caused by the latest build of RSD. There seems to be nothing in help or instructions about project recovery guess you have to open trouble ticket for that.
