Need templates for V3 - Post ID 284767

I'm really frustrated with this. I've never seen software like this before, that comes with no template selection included, and there are none available on the site ( I've looked and looked. ), and I don't even see any for sale here. I need to figure out how to redesign my site in V3, when it's in RSD 1.5 and 2.5 now.

Why are templates like a well-kept secret, for this software, and how do I get an inexpensive selection, to use one from?

Hi Melissa. If you scroll down to the footer section, you'll see a section that says, "important stuff" and under that you will see a link called, "NEW theme store". When you click the link you'll find a couple of free themes along with some paid ones. Hope this helps?

I thought you were going back to RSD 2.5?? Version 2.5 has themes, templates and components built in.

For SD3 there is supposed to be the same, but nobody knows when 'soon' is. There are just a couple of themes available now, https://cssgrid.cc/themes/

You know Melissa
Even if you get another Template (& you have been offered some for free from users on this forum, you will still have the same problems, You can't just fill in the blanks or join the dots so to speak, without a modicum of understanding as to how the app works & what to do to get it looking right, & an eye for design (making the look & feel of a site look good for your visitors visual experience) So for example if you replace text with your own, & there is more or less, text than in the template, it will throw out the template design somewhat, Images of different sizes, proportions will throw out the template design also, that's when you need to be able to adjust modify tweak whatever you want to call it, to make the template fit YOUR idea for the layout.

You are also working (I suspect ) from the highest breakpoint, down (which is the way v1.5 did it), which is why your mobile devices don't look too good using RSD v2.5 or SDv3
On RSD & V3 you work from Mobile devices upwards making it look good & fit at those sizes first, changing the layout as required at the breakpoints if require at the higher breakpoints as you move up.

There is one common denominator in all the apps v1.5 rsd v2.d & sdv3 you have tried & tried but still can't look right.

Oh wow! Thanks Shaun!

Which ones would be good for RSD 2.5 ( Old? ), and the new are for V3?

My goal is to get my RSD 2.5 site working well, and then venture into learning V3, which I have now, but seems like trying to read Russian.

Those are for V3?

Thanks Inger! :)

Ok, now that I found and downloaded the Visions theme for V3, I must admit to being a little intrigued. So I opened it and started playing. It MAY not be as difficult as I first thought?

Buy Inger, you mentioned the aspect ratio. If I want to substitute my city scape instead of the large photo of the guy:

That Visions photo is 2960x1193 at 72 dpi. Aspect ratio = 2:48:1
My city scape photo is 1920x1080 at 300dpi. Aspect ratio: 1.777:1

Now can I just replace the Visions photo directly with mine, or must I change mine to suit that space?

You can use your image as is if you are only going to use just one image. It's only if you want a slideshow that you need to worry about the aspect ratio.
Your original large image may perhaps have too much height to look good. I think you should try my version, and reduce the width to 1400px, not 1200 as I said earlier.

Selecting the Visions theme is a good choice. Now you can take advantage of Suzanne's video tutorial, https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … d-builder/

Hi Melissa. Once your inside the link, you can click the "info" tab to the right of the theme and it will tell you what version of CC it's compatible with. It appears that they are all V3 compatible.
