I did all that Inger. But now I'm completely confused by all the above.

But I figured that "New themes store" would mean SDV3.

Also, is there some way of accessing a test site here at CC, instead of using that test folder of mine? I tried signing up and getting into that, but it wouldn't work. It would keep my test stuff from indexing.

This needs reporting to CC people

If you take the Visions theme, check it out locally it looks ok then export without doing anything, then ftp it , its all wrong.

https://tester.sdv3tutorials.com

this one has the visions theme unadulterated as it comes, simply just exported, & uploaded

The RSD 2.5 version is ok it keeps everything & ftp's ok

What I don't understand is why when viewed locally it looks ok but when exported, looks terrible

Hang on a little. I'm going to delete the one I changed, and just upload the exported files that CAME with the theme, instead....

OK, I just did that, and the raw exported files that came with the theme, don't show up right on my PC's Chrome here, either!

One thing to mention is that I'm not using the "Publish" feature in SDV3 to upload these to my ISP's server, but I've always used the FTP feature in my two panel Altap Salamander, which I've been using for ages and has always worked fine before. It's a great little replacement for the old Norton Commander, which was developed, and has been kept updated by Altap, in Czech Republic. Of of the few shareware programs I've ever found, that was extremely worth registering, as it makes life so much easier.

But I cant imagine that using it would cause any problems - it never has before.

Well at least I know I'm not TOO crazy, anyway.

I just uploaded the raw exported files that CAME with it, from the included visions-exported folder, and it doesn't work on my PC's Chrome.

I have tried both ways through publishing & direct ftp,, makes no difference

I have done a file comparison between the CSS on the server & the CSS locally,, no differences found

Well it gets wierder

Now the site has the changes I made yesterday (just changed image/text & nav bar colour)
Working fine

All I did on the server was open the css folder & did a comparison of the files on the server with the files before FTP, which showed no difference.

This gets weirder & weirder
It's almost like although the CSS files were there, they weren't seen by Chrome until I manually opened the CSS folder on the server. Which shouldn't be like that ^ difficult to imagine that is what was causing the problems

My question as a novice: This isn't something I did - it's problems with the theme, right?

I would say that it's a problem with the theme for SDv3,, & not something you did or didn't do.
