I've watched the video now, and I think it is as good as it gets. If Michael can't use it, I'm all for making another space for showing the film titles. Maybe in a sidebar or something.

With an ordinary dropdown I got the links to show when the page opens, but I can't get them to close afterwards. The same with the use of an accordion.

I also did something completely off the concept with regards to placement of the titles, it gave them so much more prominence and therefore more importance for potential investors, by decided not to even offer it up, as he seemed fixated on it being a drop-down as part of the menu.
Not to worry it's also been a good couple of days practice and a discovery journey for me anyway.
Take care Inger and stay safe and well as always over there in what must soon to be those long cold dark nights and short days the rainy season is just about on us here but still the normal 12 hours daylight and dark nights

Hi Inger and Wayan,

Inger:" I'm all for making another space for showing the film titles. Maybe in a sidebar or something."

sorry I did not explain better - the Nav drop down is just an additional accent. For each film there will be a seperate info box on the index page which will be linked to an extra page special for each film. But there are still other informations which might distract - so I thought the open DD might be a bit like a headliner

Wayan: "the container beneath the nav bar IS THE DROPDOWN which is opened on page load, it can be closed by clicking on the menu dropdown button, the second dropdown button when clicked on will open it's own dropdown container, replacing the one that is open by default."
That really sounds like what I wanted. Couldn't I get the RSD so I might have a look ?

Hi Michael.

If I've correctly understood the type of thing you wanted initially, I think it can be achieved in SD5 using Intersection Observer.

The attached specimen is created in SD5 build 3490 using Frameworkless. I'm not sure that it will open in earlier versions, but if it doesn't, you will see how I did it by examining the code of the exported project which I've also attached.

I've done this just to demonstrate the principles involved, and that your suggestion is by no means impractical. I guess you will be able to deal with the application of those principles to whatever your project is - I have no web design talent. The main things to look at are the JavaScript in the footer, and the little cup icon with the id "marker" which triggers the change when it goes off the screen or comes back on the screen.

Even if you decide not to use it, at least it appears that the answer to the question in your first post about whether it can be done in SD is "Yes".

I have converted Frank's menu to Foundation in a previous version of SD.

It's done used the foundation framework and the "tabs"component with a little bit of simple JS to remove the "is active" class name from the drop-down container when a user scrolls down and put it back as "is active" when the user scrolls back up. Very easy and simple solution.

Frank, Inger, Wayan - never would have thought that my Nav question could bring me so much to learn.

Frank, I just started your exported file and it is working perfectly - only that I only would like one drop down to be open and the other to be closed when starting the site. But I think as soon as I can look into SD - and thanks to Inger I will be able to do that - I will be able to modify it. And have alook behind the curtain.
Your hint

I'm a bit afraid since I have no dust of Javascript but we will see. I will keep you informed.

Wayan - I would really like to follow on your approach because I started in foundation now and I'm not sure if I can go on with the frameworkless approach for the rest of the site. Is there another Video ? At the end at least I can compare both ways and see the Pros and Cons.
