I'm looking for a component, that will show video in a modal window. The plan is to split a long movie into small sequences that you can see separatelly in a modal window. = show several episodes of a film
Like Ingers component "lightbox gallery". You have a picture gallery and the pictures show up in a modal window. Instead of pictures I would like to insert the "Video Platform" element.
But I cannot transfer then the Attributes that are in the picture of the master component.
Anyone has a component that would work with Video instead of pictures ?
Or a good idea how someone without coding knowledge can manage that ?

You can create "VIDEO CHAPTERS on Vimeo/YouTube. I seem to remember your videos were hosted on VIMEO

You can re-create something like that within Site Designer,using a modal and the HTML5 component (NOT THE VIDEO PLATFORM) but knowing your knowledge of coding or how to use Site Designer beyond the basics it would probably be better to stick to the video platform and Vimeo or YouTube and create video "Chapters"

Thanks. Vimeo is very expensive - Some tools are only available to Vimeo "Advanced" members and higher. Means > 600 $ per anno. I think I cannot use with my old "Pro" price plan (ca 200 $ p.a.) such tools - When I open the menu point "Interacticity" = where you find the end card tool - they say on top :
"To add engagement tools to your videos, upgrade your plan."
clicking there offers me a "business plan" for 47 $ per month !!!
Then it might be better to go on html.5 Videos and rent some space ....

If you use site designer and use the htnl5 video component then you could do something similar to create a long video that has the options for visitors to skip to points on your video and watch from there, there are numerous ways to achieve such a thing not just using a modal.
However to achieve such a thing is what I would describe as "ADVANCED" and would take a lot of time to develop such a thing.
I assume that you have some sort of video editing software available so you could create a number of shorter videos each one starting at a point of interest (chapter)and continuing to the end, then give the visitor a link to each chapter which opened either on a new page or within a modal window. You could also use CSS GRID and some CSS custom code to display the chapters, but as I have previously mentioned it's very advanced use of site designer and I do not know of any ready made components that can be used to create such a thing, but maybe someone has that I am not aware of.

I try my way with a lot of Video parts instead of chapters. Is much easier for me. And Inger showed me a very clever way to use that in SD without coder knowledge. But this way means to build for each sequence (video part) a seperate page with the player linked. So I have to open a new thread........
