Mega Menu in RSD - Post ID 270114

I just got RSDV2 Beta. Has anyone successfully built a mega menu in RSD without the need of writing custom code or importing something from a 3rd party? The main reason I've never used RSD for a client website is because of the limited navigation options (in my opinion). The bootstrap and foundation components never quite have what I'm looking for and the coffeecup menu builder doesn't either.

I would like to be able to build a div section with rows, columns, links, etc. and have it as a drop when someone hovers or clicks a top level navigation button.

Here are some examples of mega menus...

Anyone have any thoughts on doing this within RSD?

Hello from sunny Bali

I used to build them in RFF using the dropdown toggle component (hoverable is also ok but doesn't work on smaller screens of course)

You can put anything you want in the drop down,, images paragraphs links sub-grids html elements,, some really cool stuff going on.

I don't have RSD but if they have brought in the FF components, then maybe that one is available

Sorry for my ignorance but what is RFF?

I would like to build menus like that to.

Do we know if this will work in RSD?

Thanks again

Byron

RFF = Responsive Foundation Framer of course

Don't know if it will work in RSD read my post again,, IF they have brought the RFF component "dropdown toggle" into the new RSD then it should be the same logically,, If they haven't then no probably wont

Thanks for the information Wayan. I started to play around with the dropdown toggle component and I'm starting to see the possibilities.

I have not yet tried them in V2, but have built dozens of websites in v1.5 with very sophisticated pop ups, drop downs, sticky footers with very inexpensive responsive code templates from pixelworkshops.

I simply create a html element in RSD and add any images into the resources. It can really save a lot of effort and time building them this way.

If you can, post some example files. I have some sort of mental block with these editors and I usually end up messing something up whenever I tried making complicated toggle thing especially because at one point FF was limited in the number of classes an element could have, and I find it easier to hand code because I can see everything on one screen. Or just copy/paste from codepen.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
