Materialize Theme and Components

I have purchased the Materialize Theme to get the components, then I opened it up, and saved the project under a new name in a new folder. I'm setting up a fairly simple site, and just want to use this for the landing page. Where is the "How to Guide" for using this theme and components?

Any guidance on where to start would be appreciated.

The guidance and how-to are on the pages of each component or layout page. AFAIK there is no separate how-to manual.

That was my mistake. I brought it into SD3 immediately rather than looking at it. Are there any "customization" guides around, or do I just go in and start replacing and deleting and adding and rewording?

That Roboton font, or whatever they call it, is hideous! Google really doesn't deserve its reputation.

Thank you for the guidance. It was what I actually needed.

You can do as you say, reword, replace and delete.
Most of us in the forum are new to Materialize, so we haven't got much to say yet. But after having taken a look around, I think I would save the various types of building blocks as components, so that I don't have to deal with that massive theme file every time. I could also think of saving e.g. the page about Parallax as its own theme. But, mind you, I haven't done this yet, I'm just thinking... ;)

I'll just wait for these components also to become available for Foundation and Bootstrap as well. Currently my focus is on the Foundation framework.

One easy way of using it is to open the theme in SD3 and export it to a folder on your hard drive. Open the site in your browser and you have the how-to guide that you can use while you are using SD3 on your site.

How do we export all the 'components' to SD3? Or am I not understanding what is the proper way to get them where I can use them on projects in SD3? Or, is there another file to download in my purchase area that is just the components?

If you have bought the Materialize theme + components, it's just one file. And you import is as a theme into SD3. After that, you open the theme Matco in SD3, and you will see it has a lot of pages, each with a 'group' of building blocks, like buttons, cards, sliders etc.
If you want to flick through the pages like on any website, you can export the theme like you do with a project file.
