I can't figure out this one either...

Under the "hamburger" menu for small screens, the "Contacts" link doesn't work ONLY from the Index page. The link works fine everywhere else.

What am I missing?

Hi Joe.
The link goes down to the div with an ID of Contact.
You want to setup the link to be contact.html instead of index#Contact
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I know that the link is to an anchor. I am curious why an anchor link doesn't work for that menu when the anchor is located on the same page. The anchor link works perfectly well via the menu if referenced from a page other than where the anchor resides. Does that make sense?

Makes no sense, so what does your link look like

The link on your index page is a paragraph

"Rich is also available for parties and special occasions including weddings and corporate events.

CONTACT: xxx xxx xxxx"

you have to manually close the dropdown menu

because that's the way it\s set up

on the other pages, because it jumps to that paragraph then the menu is closed

not a very good user experience

therein lies the problem of using components that other people made and not using them the way they were sesigned

the designer hadn't accounted for someone having an anchor link to one of the nav-links on the same page which means having to manually close the menu as it is still covering the whole page even when the target is in view but is covered by the menu overlay

If you want to have a targeted link from a menu on the same page item then you need to choose a menu that doesn't require manually closing in order to view what's underneath.

The component you have used can probably be restyled and made to work like that, but to be honest, that would take more work than re-doing one from scratch

(unless Eric or another JS master) can come up with somw trickery boo JS stuff to make that contact button close the menu when clicke)

or create a new page called contact put that paragraph on that page (any images/backgrounds as you desire
then remove the #contact from the links, that would be the simple answer

Thank you for the responses. I will make a separate contact page, but was curious if there was a simple change that would allow same-page links to work without manually closing the menu. Sounds like the answer is "no" :)

BTW, the menu is from the "Foundation Neutral Components Pack"
