I need to insert Google Analytics code on every page of a website. Is there a way to add it to one page and have it appear on all pages of this site, a global option perhaps?

Hi Carolyn
That's it set it on a page in the global portions if you have the other pages with the global options already set it will go in on those pages if any are not set for global in the header you need set them.

Thanks Wayan! So I go to Structured Data >Page Manager > Scroll down to Head, Insert the code and Select Global. Then just select Global for all other pages? That's what I've done now so I sure hope it was the correct way!!

The correct way of doing it is selecting Global first and then inserting the script in the field that opens for global settings. It might work the other way around, depending on whether you duplicate a page or add a new blank one.

OK thanks Inger. Once I had the code on one page with Global selected, I just selected Global on all other pages and it popped right in place.

Hi again Carolyn
Just for future reference I always have the little global thingy in the header selected when building sites for every page even if I don't put anything in, that way if ever I do need put something that needs to go on every page I know I only need do it once
