Also I understand that we should be using smaller images as the screen size moves down to mobile size, is this simply a matter of hiding the previous image and placing in a new one? or should I be looking at another tut?

However I have an issue where the BG image is responding as it should and maintains its scale, but it's boarder top and bottom (sides are ok) have not moved with it, it has to be something simple I am doing wrong.
