Ok I have a 1920x1080 .jpg as the fixed background, however it is not responsive. I would like to have it change size as the screen size reduces. I have played around with some settings but found nothing that works yet :-\

http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … ?locale=en is the one you are looking for here. :P Pay attention to the Size section, I believe cover should help you out there.
Also I understand that we should be using smaller images as the screen size moves down to mobile size, is this simply a matter of hiding the previous image and placing in a new one? or should I be looking at another tut?
And this article http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … e-element/ for this one. It is a easier then hiding and placing a new image.

All working fine thank you!

However I have an issue where the BG image is responding as it should and maintains its scale, but it's boarder top and bottom (sides are ok) have not moved with it, it has to be something simple :( I am doing wrong.

See it here http://bpburgess.coffeecup.com/index.html

Not sure I see the issue. Can you be more specific? Also, attaching the project file will also help. :)

Ok as I scale the site down to mobile sizes the top and bottom boarder are maintain a lot of white space it may be to do with the column setting?

See the attached mate :)

CoffeeCup will not upload the file as .rsd or .zip for me, must be an Australian thing, will place a drop box link here soon

That is because you have a 1000px min-height setting on the column. :P

It should be what you want or need it to be. I would say reduce it to around 500px and see if that helps.
