This is my first tentative step into RSD, having been a VSD fan for years, and I am designing a site for my own business for once. http://www.cross-foxes.co.uk

I have no patience, so I dived straight in with the Coast theme, and am learning 'on the job' so to speak.

My question for today is - I have made the picture of the flowers and the door at the top to be fixed, but it doesn't re-size on my phone, have I done something wrong?

Try setting the Size to Contain in the background properties.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hi Eric, I've done this, but now it makes the photo cut into two, and on my phone, I have it stacked one on top of the other?

Also, a menu appears on the phone that I don't have on my PC?

Janet, could you please post your .rsd file so we can see the settings? You probably have to zip up the file to be able to post it.

I also wonder if you set the background image to no-repeat, since they stack up as you say.

I tried adding your image of the pub to the coast theme. I think it works best if you leave the size at 'cover' for large screens, that is, for screens larger than your actual photo. When you go down through the breakpoints, you have to experiment with the available size settings to see what works best for you. I found by 'contain' that at some breakpoint there was a black gap below the image down to the text, but otherwise it worked ok.
