Hello all,

I am looking for a shopping cart anyone could recommend for integrating with Site Designer. Looking for easy to integrate, possibly free to use (I understand processing fees are applicable). I did a search here and was finding a lot of posts regarding VSD and the shopping cart Coffeecup discontinued years ago.

I have a client that will have about 100 items and looking for something flexible, yet secure and safe for the purchaser.

Thank you - K

Hi K Spoor,

I think the best way to do this is to use PayPal

I found a short YouTube that goes over the basics.

You would have to add all the products one at a time.

This is the cheapest way to do it.

Very interesting Mark,

Do you have an example of where you used it on a website you built with SD?

Very nice John,

I see the free plan is only 10 products. I assume it spits out the code and you just put it in an html element. Do you then have to create the other product pages or does the app do that for you. It would be nice if you could share a "Cliff Notes" on the process. We have been waiting for years for CC to come up with a shopping cart but I don't believe this is their focus any more. I would love to continue to use SD5 to design my webstores.

Thanks in advance

Well very interesting indeed. I did some research on my own and found a couple of interesting pieces of information:
Quick Start Guide:
https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/arti … tart-guide

YouTube video reviewing Shopify vs Ecwid
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJrcus7 … mb_rel_end

Needless to say I will be testing this on my own website to see how it works with the free plan. Looks like 10 products for free for ever. If you need more you have to pay. I will post back and let all you know how to do this with SD5. Maybe Ill even dust off the old recorder and post a video on how to do this.

Hi Steve,
Yes, the ecwid code was simply placed within an HTML code box and the rest was magic. It's been a long time since I looked at this site so I can't remember exactly what codes went where but I will did it out and see if I can give you a little more info. Back soon with more information.
