What kind of features do you need for your shop? For example, how many products? Do you need customer accounts? Do you need to have total control? Things like that.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

Hi Brian
Not sure on the size of shop they need yet as it is early days . i know some people have used paypal with forms but not sure how many items that can support . as to control it would be me who would administer so no remote access needed . only one account would be needed as there would be no login only purchase option .

paypal buttons (from paypal) can be added(html element) not sure if there is a limit but I have over 20 so far, each button can be linked to a particular product, each product can be individual with price (shipping costs etc) or it can have a dropdown choice for product choices (size colour etc) it's still a bit basic in what else you can do with it but it works for my easy shopping stuff.

For other sites where maybe a shopping cart is needed I have used an online shopping cart provider it is really easy to set up & very customizable, but there is a cost of 39.00 $US per anum per site (you can get a discount if more than 1 site)(unlimited number of purchases) can be linked to payment gateways/paypal) .
not sure I should be promoting them on this forum, so if you want to take a look email me & I will send you the url, (they do a full 14 day free trial)

If each product is purchased individually, you could use CC Web Form Builder since it has PayPal built into it. However, it isn't a cart. If you want a cart, that you can integrate with RSD, I'm not sure other than using PayPal buttons and cart. I'm sure there are others out there.

If the entire site is not a cart, you might consider using a separate one. I use osCommerce (open source and free) quite a bit. I set up the cart first, then I buy a theme for it. After that, I build the rest of the site in RSD to match the theme that the customer chose for the cart.

Please check out ecwid (I am not getting paid or a referral...just giving info)...it appears to do everything you need based on this thread. There is a free option depending on how many items you want to sell. It incorporates very easily via html element in RSD and is super easy.
They also offer payment processing, too.
Just FYI

Sorry for the hijack but was just going to ask the same question. After looking at ecwid, am I seeing it right that they can update the products through the ecwid console and no website updates need to be made?

Yes, they use Javascript to 'inject' the products and card. It's a neat approach, is convenient but has drawbacks. People that have Javascript disabled won't see the products and you will not be able to get any search engine rank for the products either.
The future of web layout has arrived and it's called CSS Grid. CoffeeCup helps you to get ready with a free guide, the Grid Builder app plus cool demos & themes.

Not sure if that is correct or not as I have not had that need.
I'll see if I can give it a try and let you know.
I know one can add / subtract items in the catalog (store)... But I'm not certain whether the html element needs to be updated or not.
I'll give it a try later today and let you know.
