Hi guys
I would like to add a larger breakpoint, and then copy the whole page design to this new breakpoint rather than rebuild the whole design again from scratch which is what It seems I might be forced to do. Is there anyway to short cut and just copy and paste the whole design?

thanks for any tips :)

Why don't you just delete all the breakpoints and re-add them one at a time... i think that would be much easier.

Hi Steve :)
When I try that and delete all the breakpoints, I lose the design. Just the elements of the design are there, no formatting, missing images etc.

What would also work would be if I could delete the largest breakpoint, without deleting all the formatting, image paths etc.

I'm just trying to get around having to rebuild the whole design just to get rid of the largest break point really

I guess i have started off wrong somehow. I think maybe I built from the top down instead of the bottom up. Would that explain the situation?

You may have started designing your site with a breakpoint to the right of where you were working. You need to start outside all breakpoints, and then set them as needed when the screen gets smaller.

I don't think you will be able to copy things from a narrower breakpoint to a wider one. If that inspector panel were made editable, you probably could, though.

Yes I think you may well be right Inger, thanks for the reply.
How do I get out of this mess? It would be great if I could delete the widest breakpoint without deleting the design, any ideas on how I might do that? Doesn't look possible but you never know...

Hi Barry,
Did you try dragging your largest break point further to the right?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hi Eric
thanks for the tip, I tried dragging the widest BP further to the right, made no difference. I did have the problem before where it was actually off screen and I couldnt edit it or move it, but thats fixed now. I also tried dragging the 2nd largest to the far right, past the previous largest, which just messed up the whole thing really.

What would be great would be if I could edit some config files that contain the BP information, then open the app and see the edits in the project. Is that possible?

Hey Barry,

Unfortunately I have done this in the past. I'm not sure at this point if there is anything else to try. I just think its how the application works whether you do it from top down or bottom up it will start with either the first breakpoint to the right or first breakpoint to the left. Once you start altering the inner breakpoints its impossible to apply them to the outter ones.

In future versions of RLM I would love to see them start the default template with no breakpoints added at all like they do for RSD.
