Good morning all!
Is there any way to convert a Foundation website to Materialize in Site Designer v4?
Thank you,
Laura

Or is there a way to import Materialize classes into my Foundation project?
There is a question WHY? That springs to mind first

The 'conversion' means manually recreating them. I have done a few sites that way. If there are not too many attributes involved, it is not difficult, but it may take some time. I have never tried importing Materialize classes (that is importing the css and js files) into another framework.

I'm trying to get a Materialize carousel to work. Not sure how to go about it! I bought the Materialize theme and tried to export their carousel as a component, but I don't see it as a component to add to my Foundation project (maybe because it uses Materialize classes?).
Maybe (just MAYBE) you can open the materialize style sheet, find the .carousel and check what properties it has, and then try to replicate it in Foundation. But there should be other, similar carousels 'out there' that you may google for.
Another thing to try would be to make that carousel in Materialize, and then let it appear in an iframe* in your Foundation project. You would then have to use a html element for the iframe. Upload the site to your server, then make a subfolder on the server to which you upload the materialize carousel project, and make links between them. I'm just about to make a project now, based on Foundation, but with input from the three other frameworks on the same site, different pages, and I have the start of this thing uploaded and have the first bit of the Bootstrap part of it running. Can't show anything, though, but it is working well.
*instead of using an iframe, you could also make a full page in Materialize, that you connect to the Foundation project like I said above.

Because many people here have no understanding of the concept "Framework" and are used to cut-and-paste.
Of course, one could try to mix and match by isolating bits and pieces in frames or separate webpages. But be beware of the future maintenance nightmare this would create. Maybe acceptable for hobby websites, but paying customers should be protected against these practices.

We have however found the reason is that Lura has seen the Materialize carousel
My next question, therefore, comes as WHY not use the foundation "Orbit" component
It is much easier to customize than the materialize one (changing images etc), very versatile for styling perhaps even more so than the Materialize carousel and no messing about with Iframes, or some other such thing.
