Hi All,

I used CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer and I'm looking at purchasing RSD to replace it. Is there a way to import my old VSD website into RSD or do I have to start from scratch?

Thanks!

Hey Blair,

As you know, Visual Site Designer builds websites using absolute positioning. This means everything has a fixed place within the page and cannot be adjusted based on the viewer’s device size (desktop, tablet, mobile phone, etc.). Absolute positioning does not allow for a modern, fluid responsive design. That means your mobile users (almost 51% of all internet traffic today) are getting an unfriendly browsing experience on your website. Google also now gives priority ranking to websites that are device-agnostic. This mean you are going to lose page rank automatically because you don’t have a responsive website.

With our new Responsive Site Designer, you can rebuild your current, static website to fit the more modern, mobile-friendly web. RSD has the ability to create a flexible core that can adapt based on the viewer’s screen size. Use the comprehensive, clickable design controls to visually style elements without having to dive into the code. I would recommend you download the trial and give it a once over. :)
