I want to place a container or a photocontainer to the right and aside a list of containers (with buttonlinks). So far in my trials the second container moves the others. This is probably fundamental but I can´t figure it out.

Use either CSS Grid two cols or put 2 containers in a parent container, and then set the parent container to flex =row then other settings as you wish how about a schematic drawing of your layout that might help
OH and also which framework are you using in Site Designer
