How to do this - -

I place a picture in the background of a container. I need an area around text that is darker transparency. In corel its called a lens effect. I know that you can make a tranparent background by adjusting alpha in background tab. So do I place a container within a container adjust the alpha and place text in the area. BUT - how do I get that container (with the transparent background) to come down within the container instead of the edge (would like to know how to make it adjust and if I just static in size)? Also what do you suggest on how to handle the photo background so it can adjust with expanding size.

End result - the background picture - the area with the transparency - and the copy within in that area, respond with the size.

Hope that all makes sense.

Thanks

Hi, Is this what you are looking for?
https://mock-up.coffeecup.com/f-comps/f … cency.html

If it is, then download the first of the two components, then you can study how it is done.

Did you open that page at all? Should be pretty obvious which components I was talking about.

If what is wanted is how I imagine, I think a very easy easy way is to start as mentioned with the picture as the background to a container. The container's width and height are set in the same proportions as the image used, and the background picture Size is set to Contain.

I would then add a 'New box shadow' using Styles > Design > Opacity & Shadow and set
1. the Box Shadow to Inset (the fourth icon from the left)
2. x and y to zero;
3. the Spread to the desired pixel width of the border increasing at larger breakpoints;
4. the Blur to zero if it's to be a sharp frame. Otherwise also adjust the Blur at various breakpoints.

One can play with the opacity and colour of the frame by using the Box Shadow second icon from the left.

I attach a simple example.

Byron I have done a demo but our internet will be off quite a while.

One other option would be to edit the banner image and reduce the brightness of those lense flares a bit so that the text just stands out against the background image without any need for gradient overlay or box shadows etc.
As soon as my internet returns I will upload the video
