Client Portal

Hi all!

I would like to integrate a client portal into one of my websites, yet I'm not sure where to begin. When I search the web for creating a portal, the results only bring up companies that provide you with one (with a subscription, of course). I would just like to develop it myself for free. I understand that the process may be extremely complicated, but I really want to learn. Does anyone know of any resources that explain how to create a secure client portal/member login? Is this even a possibility with CoffeeCup?

Thanks!

This is one of the major aspects of CoffeeCup's Website Access Manager.

It is apparently no longer obtainable, as mentioned in this thread.

Reading the Quick Start Guide for it, especially chapter 2, will however give a good idea of what is involved, and there is considerable detail here.

What is it what you want to achieve? Just a standard static webpage, accessible through a customer login? Only for a few clients? In that case something like the old Website Access Manager might do the trick.

If not, forget trying to build something yourself.
It would require programming skills, database skills and some more advanced internet related system design skills.

Find someone who can give you some advise how to proceed if you really need a client portal for some serious business.

Grab a php login script. Most are simple to integrate into a site.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
