Which container and which image? And could you please rephrase your second sentence, it looks as if something is missing, and I don't quite understand what is the problem.

When I change the image, do I reapply to a class? The image that I'm trying to change is the second one down from top.

I had this problem (or one very similar).
I got this from the support room:

That design feature is set to the ID. To edit, select the Container and go to the Style Pane. Change the Apply Styles: to this element ID only.

Go to the Background and you can edit or delete the image.

That worked for me.

Assuming you mean the container .prototype-section. In this case it is not tied to the ID, it is just to the class. I have tried to get rid of the image, but it seems impossible. It even comes up as the 'default', which is normally that 'cup' glyph. I have a feeling that something is not correct here, that some wires must have got crossed.

I will investigate a bit and see if I can manage to solve it. Right now we're having the mother of all thunder, lightning and hail storms, and I expect the electricity to be cut off any minute, but hopefully tomorrow...

Thanks, Wayan. I was so concerned with quickly closing down here last night because of the weather we had, that I probably didn't think much about the problem. But it was beyond me why, when clicking on New image, that I got the 'stubborn' one as the default instead of that wee cup.

The image has to be changed in all the "Design For" bits
Fall Back First
Background Blend Mode Overlay
Display Grid

Also a big thanks from me. A few days ago, I upgraded to Site Designer 4 after I fell in love with the "Save the planet" theme. I soon found the animated gif on the "team" page of that theme pretty annoying, but any attempt to replace it with another picture had failed, making me finaly believe to have encoutered the first zombified gif image. Undead. Can't get rid of it. But selecting the container and then selecting to apply the change to the element id only did the trick. So yes, thanks a lot to everyone for answering my question before I had a chance to post it. :)

Best wishes
Edgar
