What am i missing here, i watched all the videos 3 times and read the comments on this forum and i dont get how it isnt simple. When i push the link it tells me this webpage doesnt exist but im just trying to connect to another page on my website.

So what is the href for the link?
To get that message then the href for the link is wrong.
Typically it would be nameofpage.html

A. If the page one is trying to link to is within the SD4 project (i.e. it appears in the list if one clicks on Pages > Activate Page), then the Href box (in the Selected Element Properties section of the Element panel) should be completed as follows -
1. delete the "#";
2. enter the full filename including the .html at the end.

B. Otherwise it is completed as follows -
1. delete the "#";
2. enter the full URL including the initial https and the full file name.

The exception to item B2 above is when the file linked to is within the same website, but not within the same SD4 project and one is using relative addressing. One would then delete the "#" and enter the full relative address.

i now have one link that works but not the other. the one that works lets me enter the page name in the "link" box under Inline Elements the others wont

I am wondering whether the filenames being entered are not valid ones. If removing capital letters, spaces etc. from those filenames doesn't do the trick, someone may be able to help if the exact entries in the Href box are posted here.

I have done another silent movie (family asleep) showing adding pages & linking to them
it's on it's way to Youtube now but may take another 20 mins

If you are entering your existing website Url (edstennis.net/prostrokes.html) then that will also show a page not found sort of message, due to your website is no longer active with hostgator
well actually it is still hosted but suspended

Thanks. do i just copy the pages with the buttons or do i have to redo them on every page?

so are you saying it wont really work until i get my domain switched from gator which should happen in the next few days?
