Hi,

Is there a way to get a menu builder menu to open on top of the stuff that is below it, rather than stretch down the column it is contained in?

Thanks! :)

Try the z-index of the html element the menu is sitting in. Give it a higher number than the rest of the contents (default is 0).
Note: I haven't actually done this, and I can't try now because I'm on somebody else's computer.

I have done it by giving the HTML element a max height (about 50 px) in RSD. It becomes necessary to ensure the menu items are given a solid colour background (Note), as otherwise the text underneath shows through.

Note: Although it looks as if they already have a solid colour background by default in Menu Builder, I found there was in fact a transparent background. It was necessary to change them to another colour and back to white. FC

Hi,

Here is the menu I am referring to. Right now, when you click on it, it drops down and shows the color of the column it is in and pushes everything else down, as well. I really want it to open on top of the photo. I have tried the z-index thing and it didn't work.

It is the menu that says 'shop by brand'.

Thanks! :)

Why have you got the first button (Shop by brand) in a menu of its own? Why not include it in the other menu? The menu item Shop online also has a dropdown, and it is behaving as it should.

I guess you're not finished with this menu. Some tweaking necessary for small screens remains.

BTW, for me the first button is not pushing anything down, instead it is hiding behind the photo.

I suspect the problem may relate to the fact that two Menu Builder menus are there creating various duplicate ids on the same page. The notes at http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … to-a-page/ may be relevant.
