bookmarks scrolling and hiding under...

Hi there,

I’m having a small problem with sticky menus and bookmarks in my homepage.
I have one sticky menu (menu 1) which covers the whole website of 6 pages and then, for the homepage, I have another sticky menu (menu 2) for various bookmarks within that page.

The problem I have is that the 3 bookmarks I have in sticky menu 2 scroll to the start or top of the page and not under the lower sticky menu 2… which means that the text at the start of the bookmark is not visible and is hiding under both sticky menus.

Is there a way to have the bookmarks stop automatically scrolling as soon as they reach the bottom of the sticky menu 2 (which is the menu calling them) and not the top of sticky menu 1 which is the top of page?

Just realised that I have a version of the website on www.neferium.com (still updating as it has a few bugs) but you can see the problem I'm having there.

Thanks, Maz

do you mean the text

"HOW I WORK"? ETC

then you need to set a "Data Offset to the smooth scroll

select the triggers (bookmark links)
go to respective attributes

open and choose "custom"

set the attribute to
data-offset

set the value to something maybe around 30px but you will have to play around with that

alternate is to vice the container with the texts (include title etc some padding to the top again play around with that until it stays in view when scrolled

Hi there

Thanks for your reply

I couldn't find the "Data Offset to the smooth scroll" attribute, probable because I'm not on the updated version.

What I eventually ended up doing was to have a rule as a background colour and use a padding depending on the width of both sticky menus and their screen size. I didn't want to do this originally because if someone is scrolling down the screen without using the sticky menu 2 (with the bookmarks), there is a lot of white space. I'll have to put up with this because it doesn't look that bad and also, once people use those bookmarks, everything is positioned nicely.

Thank you again Wayan for your help.

It's not an attribute that is there

You have to use "CUSTOM ATTRIBUTE" THEN REPLACE DATA-CUSTOM wth DATA-SMOOTH-SCROLL

Aha...

Yes, that is exactly what I want so I'll replace the 'rules' with this.

Excellent demo BTW...

Thanks, Maz
