I have a work around but have not had this problem before.
Set up the ID on the target page and then the text to send it to but when you click it only sends to the correct page but not the text. I made the text a link with the same href and the orig page and it finds it ok. Have set up a lot of anchors and maybe having a extreme brain f**t here but just curious as to why this one isn't working.

href to anchor on different page = pagename.html#id of target on that page
so to target for example text on a different page name about-us with an id of target2 would be
about-us.html#target2
when you click into the href box and start typing it gives you a multitude of links to connect to, as long as they have an ID

Wayan - yes that is what I did. But had to create the link again for the original to see it.
The only thing I can think of is I made a paragraph the ID. Then tried the first line of the paragraph then made the first line the ID and the link and that is when it started working. Can it not be a paragraph? Come to think of it I have always used a headline as the anchor ID

The problem there is there isnt anything after the # to tell it where to go on the happy-children-parents-toc.htm page

a paragraph can be made an anchor link simply by giving it an ID don't fully understand about making the first line of the paragraph the id

I found it its in the paragraph "Franklin" click here for case study" which doesn't stand out too well by the way as something to click on to read more but apart from that don't see why it shouldn't work, (works fine here but then that may be because of the workaround, which I still don't understand fully)
