64-bit version of Site Designer for...

I'm using Site Designer 5.0 and finding it is a performance hog on my system... and I'm running Windows 10 Enterprise laptop with 24GB RAM and and i7 dual core/4 logical processer laptop. Site Designer can take up to 50% o f the CPU and frequently it is the Qt Qtwebengineprocess (32-bit) that seems to be driving the load.

There are times that the application is unusable and I need to restart it.

Yes, I have virus protection on the laptop and it's not the fastest thing but when I don't run Site Designer my system is fine.

Any suggestions... and any pointers/thoughts to providing a 64-bit version of this?

Thanks,

Don

Hi Don,
I found that if I close SD and reopen it, it frees up resources.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I do the same as Eric but it's not very good practice to have to keep restarting site designer when it starts to cause problems lagging. It should be stable and good enough to not have to keep restarting.
Mind you it's better than it was a couple or 3 years ago, but still not yet good enough
