Hi,
I have a subdomain account. for example: billyjoe.onlineshop.com
i created a subfolder called 'coffeecupshop' inside my subdomain account. so, hence the url: billyjoe.onlineshop.com/coffeecupshop
on my Shopping Cart Creator, the server settings i entered are:
server: billyjoe.onlineshop.com
hosting provider: other
remote folder: /public_html/coffeecupshop/
when i click on Publish, it tries to upload the files for sometime but doesn't finish uploading.it says it encountered an error:
An error while uploading: colorbox_images
Finished uploading. Please try again.
on following attempts, it says "..error while uploading: php " and it just goes on and on with different uploading issues and it never finishes uploading.
is there something wrong with my server setting parameters? or is using a subdomain account an issue?
please advise. thank you.

It sounds like a server issue, but its important to know what operating system you are using? You could just be encountering some conflicts with something on your system.

My guess is that there's something not quite right with the subdomain reference, as it's quite different from the way subdomains are formed on my host.
For example, the general form on my hosting service looks like this:
subdomain.primarydomain.com
which points to a folder named subdomain in the public_html directory of my primary domain. There's not a separate public_html in the subdomain folder. All of my subdomains reside in a single public_html folder in my primary domain.
If I were to apply your names to this formula, it would look like this:
onlineshop.billyjoe.com
remote folder: /coffeecupshop
This assumes that all the other server specs -- servername, username, password, etc. -- are correct.
Maybe your hosting service sets things up differently, but I can say with confidence that the information you've entered wouldn't work on mine.
Is your primary domain "billyjoe.com"? Do you own a domain called "onlineshop.com"?
Also, if you just created your subdomain, it may not yet have propogated through the DNS servers, and is therefore not recognized.
I've done WHOIS searches for:
billyjoe.com --- valid
onlineshop.com -- valid
billyjoe.onlineshop.com -- malformed domain name
onlineshop.billyjoe.com -- malformed domain name

I couldn't get my shops to upload to sub domains so gave up and bought some more domains.
But as mentioned it may be incorrect data being entered in the Server info boxes or that the sub domain hasn't promulgated yet.
Any subdomains I've had have been named:
www.subdomainname.mydomainname.com so in your example would be:
www.onlineshop.billyjoe.com
But I'm wondering why your shop needs to be in a subdomain?
Generally you would link your shop to your Home Page within the shop and put a link from your home page to your shop and then upload your home page into /public_html and your shop to /public_html/shop

sub-domains would have no impact on the uploading process in our software. All any FTP program does it look for a valid path where to upload the data. At this point, it has no idea what domain or sub-domain it is even using.

My two shops are on subdomains, yet the server definition in SCC contains only the domain name of the site the shop is on. The server sorts out where the subdomain lives within my primary domain's public_html folder.
