Shops up, now have a Paypal question

The answer may be on the paypal site but I've not found and so would ask for your patience.

I've used paypal website payments standard and it works, I've tried a couple of their buttons and they work too but don't really do what I want.

After running through and hitting checkout with paypal I would like the option to use a credit/debit card to be much more prominent on screen is there a way of making that happen?

I think you are going to have to add something in your shop check out page to make that clear. I agree that it is not highlighted very well on the Paypal page. I noticed that too.

I'm thinking I don't like the paypal website standard setup and I don't want to put the (for me ) huge effort into full integration.

What does Authorise Net look like?

Can somebody post a link I can look at?

Thanks aamcle

There really is very little to do in your shopping cart creator other than add a couple of lines of text which will not need to be changed again. A short reminder that it is not necessary to register with Paypal, and that one can make direct payment with a credit card. You just make sure the card icons are showing and there you go.

I'm afraid I have no experience of the Authorise Net. Perhaps someone else will have information on that.

No, there is no other way to have the paypal setup. They do offer paid services in which you can then do what you are looking to do.

In the View Cart page, I included a 'preview' image of what the PayPal checkout page will look like, along with an explanation of how to proceed without logging in or signing up for an account.

Does it always work? No. No matter how hard you try to make something clear, somebody gets confused...

Cool idea Chuck, that works pretty slick and would help a lot. I've had just text all this time but I like this idea.

Thank you, Jo Ann. I have two shops -- one with this method and one with text-only. No matter what you do, it's gonna confound somebody.

And it doesn't help that the actual PayPal page is sometimes slightly different! Haven't figured that one out yet!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
