Shipping and Handling to post and...

Can anyone tell me how to change the phrase "shipping aand handling" to "post and packing" which is used more often for the UK market . . . . . thanks

That wording is hard coded into the templates, but if you want you can manually edit the templates and change the xml file to the wording you would like to use.

I tried by changing the labels in the cart.xml file, but it did nothing :/

Any further suggestions?

Hi good morning Lynn

Locate the theme file you are using,
i.e. Clean Slate.sct open this file with winzip and locate cart.xml
edit cart.xml using msword or similar find the words Shipping & Handling change these to Post & Packaging ,

in addition the words Shipping method may also need changing to Post & Packaging , Depends how you have set up your shipping options.

You will have to reopen your existing shop file with Shopping Cart creator and save and then upload the shop to your website for the changes to take place.

Can this method be used to globally change the wording Shipping & Handling in the cart? Or do I have to edit each inc.php file that has the wording? Oh, and then re-edit when I modify the cart...

I found the files that have them at line 529 (all the various checkout methods (PayPal, Google & AuthNet) have the wording. I have no use for the handling term and it will make my customers raise an eyebrow.

Anyone done the same thing?

Ugh... I just corrupted my .sct file...
I opened it with winzip, modified the cart.xml and saved it. Winzip undated the sct file and now I cannot open it with SCDP...
What an idiot I am for not making a copy of it first... I always do that! Well, apparently not always...

Any ideas?
