Is there a fix for the IE6 issue of products showing in a "single column" and the header image disapperaing? As I am looking thru the other stores in this post area I do not see this issue but I do on my store. IE7 and IE8 are fine, but IE6 is not.

Given the fact that IE 6.0 is over 7 years old and not even supported by Microsoft any more, we made the decision to only support IE 7 and IE 8 versions.

Here is a nice resource that you can use as a reference for browser statistics:

I understand not supporting IE6, I just do not understand why as I am viewing the shops posted here, why only mine is showing incorrectly in IE6, (at my real job we are still using IE6). The reason I asked the question was I thought mabey there was a fix and I missed it. Personnaly I like Firefox. I do see some of my viewers are still using IE6, only a few but there are still some out there.

I also don't like excluding any potential customers, but it's not as if the users of IE6 browser cannot access the shop at all, just that the display gets a bit malformed on their screens. A lot of web based software out there doesn't work well with IE6, so its definitely not something that is specific to Coffeecup products.

We all like things that we are familiar with and have used for years, but the web is not a static entity and we all have to adapt to its evolution. Having said that, I never want to upgrade from using Windows XP Pro, but I guess one day in the future I'll have to. :(

Scott, statistically, there are still a LOT of people using IE6, especially from work computers. (ok...so your link does not support this...but my own cpanel showed me there were more than enough folks I needed to be concerned about...) Perhaps there are images he is using that are exceeding the space allotted for the divs?

I just checked the stats on one of my sites, and IE6 was 5.60% of the visitors during the past 30 days.

Surprisingly, all three version of IE totaled 39.73% and Firefox showed 46.10%.

New to CoffeeCup!
My first attempt at a cart based website using CoffeeCup SCC and the Basic Designer. I'm already seeing instances where the Pro Designer would have been handy (couldnt quite afford it at this time!).
Anyway, I just started adding content, added my own banner and made a few minor tweaks. So far I like the program alot.
Take a look:

Looking good Jefff.

Just goes to show how quickly sites can be created using Coffeecup software. :) The process with some of the other software out there can literally take weeks. I know that from personal experience.

Just to prove that Shopping cart creator and designer can be used by anyone... my missus built this shop and she has zero experience of anything to do with web design, etc...

Nice clean layout Andy. Only one slight criticism, on the shop home drop down, you have a blank page nestling there, other than that, all the functionality is fine.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
