I'm really sorry, but that has got to be one of the worst looking sites I've come across in a long time.

I'm just being honest... Is that not the point of a talkback?

I did not intend to insult the owner - just to let him know that his site looks very unfprofessional and childlike (in my opinion)

In my experience "constructive criticism" includes specific points where improvement can be made, as well as suggestions for making those improvements. "...one of the worst looking sites I've come across in a long time." includes none of that.

Ok then - I take your point...
As requested by Spinny; some suggestions of where the site could improve...

A) Too childlike for a serious business
B) Far too busy and loud in terms of background and colours
C) Overuse of different fonts

I understood your final two points, but after looking at the site I'm not sure what you mean by "too childlike." Could you elaborate? More than just the page's author could stand to benefit from understanding what you mean.

He is using cartoon characters to represent himself and his partner for a Furnace Parts business...

...Hence the "childlike" comment!!

Okay. That's a valid opinion, certainly, but up where I live cartoon motifs are extremely popular for a wide range of businesses--especially industrial and service. It casts a good-natured, sympathetic face to otherwise (let's face it) drab topics like sheet metal and machine screws. Often the theme strays into the openly comical.

More than likely not your cup of tea, obviously, but from a broader perspective I think there's some validity to his graphic. Just saying. :cool:
