I am trying at present to include wedding rings in my website.

If i take a simple "d "shape wedding ring as an example, i could really do with the ability to vary price by ,, (A) :: width, (B) :: thickness, and (C) :: size.

Ie will i be able to have a drop down option for say 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, and so on with a different price for each width.

At the same time the same ring can be made in (A)standard thickness, (B)medium, and (C)heavyweight.
so a drop down for each of those options.

And to make matters worse the difference in price between a very small size and a very large size, is now worth consideration,
So a drop down for (A) : sizes E to K ,, (B) Sizes L to R ,, (C) sizes S to Z

Also hoping there will be a text area for customers to include name for engraving inside ring etc.

Yes, you can do that. You would setup an option for each of the variations and then assign a price to them. You can configure up to 5 optional items.


Option 1
3mm +1.00
4mm +2.00
5mm +3.00

Option 2
(A)standard thickness +1.00
(B)medium +2.00
(C)heavyweight +3.00

Option 3
(A) : sizes E to K +1.00
(B) Sizes L to R +2.00
(C) sizes S to Z +3.00

You can add the options now, but not the prices. When SCC Pro is released, all you will need to do then is add the prices.

What about the text area for the engraving information. I don't see where that question is answered and I need to do something similiar. Also when will the pro version you mention above be available?

There is no release date for pro. It should be here soon though since the program is finished. Squaring up the docs for the program are what remain.

And will the pro version allow for a text area?

Eventually, but not in the first release.

I'm so relieved to hear that we can add price options. It's a deal maker! I was completely dreading the thought of having to use another shopping cart maker, because I think this one is so great.

Any update on when the pro is coming? I'm ready to buy it!
