User-Defined Options Fields &...

#1. Does SCC Pro have the ability to add options fields wherein the customer may type information? My entire business is based on customizations, I need an options field wherein the customer may type their name, company, etc. If we do not have this capability, can you suggest a way around this? I am using Paypal, btw.

#2. Also, I'd like all of my detailed product descriptions to be justified text. I tried inputting:

<p align="justify"> at the beginning of the text (which features 4 paragraphs) and </p> at the end of the text with the INSERT HTML button... which produced:

[[[<p align="justify">]]] at the beginning of the description and:
[[[</p>]]] at the end...

...however, when i previewed the product, the text was still left-aligned... no justification.

My site is live, so your prompt attention is appreciated.

To put an input option in a shop users are using CC's form builder to incorporate the fields and a separate submit button.

Try this.:)
[[[<div align="justify"> </div>]]]
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

@Eric

Thanks, the HTML didnt work, I just copied and pasted it into description box exactly as you typed it above (I pasted it at the beginning of my text). Is that what you meant?

*Am I supposed to be able to see the HTML take effect in "preview product" or will I not see it until I publish the changes via FTP? (if thats the case, its ridiculously inconvenient)

Ok, can you give me more info on how to incorporate the form builder? Sounds like its about to get complicated. :/

Do you have the form builder?

Try this.:):):):)
[[[<p align="justify" style="width:12em"></p>]]]

Adjust 12 to the width you want.:)

Yes, I have it downloaded, but have never used it. Please tell me it will be simple. Also, does this mean I'll have to add some html for the form in EVERY product description that will require it? Or is there some MASS way to do this, perhaps to everything in a category or something?

HTML didnt work. Interesting to note: I tried splitting the code, putting the </p> in its own brackets at the end of my text and it created a narrow column of the text, but the text itself still was not justified.

When you want to use any html code on a page, you need to click the 'insert html' button to add the code - which I hope you find. It's above where you type in the product description.

Not sure if that is helpful, as I'm not sure if you're already doing that. :)

In other words, you can't add code to the description page at all. All html will need to be added through the insert html button.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
