Thanks. (You, too, HotWheels...) :)

Naw. Drank an unidentified (but tasty) fluid the other day and it had an unexpected result: CRS (Claude Rains Syndrome.)

Not sure the point of this thread since we cannot tell you anything anyway. We only test the software, we have no say so in its final release.

One thing I need to sort out is why my SCC cart doesn't seem to be getting picked up by search engines as much as my Buy It Sell It store. Something to add to my to do list.

Having an online presence is one thing Sally, getting your site found is another thing altogether. There is much talk of search engine optimisation (SEO) as a means of getting people to your site, but there are only ten spaces on the front page of Google and you have to ask yourself how many pages will folks go back to look at other sites?

Herein lies the whole problem of online trading Sally. There are two types of online enterprises, those that have existing businesses to which the internet is a supplementary income stream and businesses that exist only on the internet such as Amazon. Unless you cater for a genuine niche market (actual not perceived), then the internet is like a vast filing cabinet in which tens of thousands of sites can (and will) literally get lost forever. Shop owners need to devote as much time to offline marketing as they do to online marketing to generate a reasonable online income. Most of the shops that simply put a site up and waited for the cash to come rolling in, are long since out of business now.

It is called a pacifier Eric. Or 'late release distraction technique' as it is known in software development circles. ;)

Perhaps you need a professional to charge you big bucks to run Google Webmaster Tools and Firefactor on your site in order for their experts to deliver a detailed SEO report to you. :/

It was a simple question asked of those having Beta Pro, are the docs that necessary?

Yes, how well I know. Funny thing is I used to get great placement when I had hundreds of items listed on IOFFER. Too bad that IOFFER, perhaps due to it's name, seems to attract bottom-feeders and NPBs. I was not complaining that my SCC cart isn't having a lot of search engine placement, rather that this is a to-do time allowing as I'm well aware of the requirement for me to promote my cart.

See above paragraph.

It's my birthday and I can assure you I'm decades pass needing a pacifier. However I do remember the feeling of power when my manager had to come to me as I could crunch data faster than the time it took to prepare the proper request for the IT department.

Why do I feel I'm being lectured at?

Thanks for the birthday wish Will. Perhaps before the end of the day Scott will..............

Thanks David, great picture, think I'll attack the ice cream.

As my aunt who passed at 98 used to say, getting a year older is better than the alternative.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
