I own shopping cart pro. I would like to get a simple theme that would allow me to have a white background, a banner, and maybe some matching font for titles.

You can see how simple this would be at:

Look forward to any help and number crunching.

Sorry, same old story, I don't have a lot of money to spend.

Thanks.

I believe that everything you are asking for (and much more) is available to modify in SCDP. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but that was the way I ended up going and was very happy that I did.

The SCCP themes are basic starting points. SCDP allows you to do the modifications and the tweaks.

And when you are firing up the Shopping Cart Designer Pro, which is pretty much a must in this cart system, you'll want to choose the blank ones that start you with the basic skeleton of carts which is pretty much what your screenshot looks like. Give that a shot and use the Designer Pro to edit it to your liking. Have fun :)

The way I read this is that she has he sccp only.

Well see that's just it, buying a theme is fine, but you still will want to use the Designer Pro to alter that theme to your liking, adding your own logo, adjusting borders and colors etc. No one I know keeps the themes exactly how they are, and truly the 2 programs go hand in hand (I personally think they should have been combined! haha). Anyways, it's almost a necessity to use them both, so the suggestion is to "get" the Designer Pro to go with it.

It's very much more difficult to alter themes for this program manually. The nicest thing about having the Designer Pro is that you can alter that theme a million times and never have to touch the code to do it you just keep reapplying it to your shop and it updates for you without any fuss or muss. Without it you will need to do all hand coded adjustments for your theme which can get pretty hairy with the amount of files and code involved in it.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
