Just to comment on being in the USA and dealing with other tax rates, I am in Alabama and my area requires me to collect taxes from approximately 8 different counties. Granted it's still a bit of data entry for each county and each city involved, it's still not near as much as it would be for you so I guess it really depends on where you are located and unfortunately for you it's not a good place for data entry :/

Just an update on the other 2 issues. They have been fixed and I should have installers in a day or so.

I did not find any where for a customer to put in their zip code so the shopping cart can search the tax rate database that I am willing to enter one at a time.

I really don't think a customer is willing to search through 400 to 1200 zip codes to find theirs.. I know I would drop my cart and go buy somewhere esle.

What database do you use now to gather your tax information by zip code?

In the store I would really like to use this software on "store.oynot.com" is a Yahoo service. It will bring in anywhere form 30K to 180k per month in sales. Yahoo gets a monthly hosting fee of 40 bucks and a transaction fee of 1.25% of every sale. As you can see some months I will pay yahoo many times the price of your software. The only thing that has me locked to yahoo is their tax rate data base.

If you want to see the same data base log into your PayPal account and click on profiles and on the right hand side, click on "Tax Rates". Just like in the yahoo store you just enter the zip code and the tax rate. I have it setup in PayPal but just can't find a way to get it to work with the Coffeecup store software.

I have four states I collect taxes for. I get the first large tax list from the State of Arkansas website. The same thing for CA, IL and MD. I do not upload or import them into the website. I have to enter each zip code by hand. Once it is entered the first time all I have to do is go back when I get a notice that a tax rates changed. ONce setup it is pretty easy to keep up with.

If you are looking for an idea, The best way would be to require the customer to enter their zip code in the shopping cart which searches a database of tax rates by zip code (which I would be happy to enter by hand one at a time) and then transfer the information to paypal or other merchant account.

And thanks for the updates I will go get them right now.

Just for the record. I really like all 5 coffeecup products I currently have and plan to get more. However, I know as good of programmers you guys are, That you could put the whoops on a simple data base in no time and fix this tax problem.

Wow I can't believe you have such complicated tax rates Stateside. Most other countries just have a generic rate purchase tax. Clean, simple and no confusion. :|

I have a lot to say on that matter but would get way off topic very fast.
